What's an "NEF"? What's a "PDF2Go" document?

Courts send Notices of Electronic Filing (NEFs) to litigants to alert them to new filings and docket entries during litigation.

When the docket entry has an associated document (occasionally these notices are "text-only"), the NEF will typically contain a link enabling the user to download the underlying document(s) one time for free. As such, associated document(s) are often referred to as "PDF2Go" documents.

PacerPro's PDF2Go service automates the download, capture and distribution of these "PDF2Go" documents. The court-issued NEFs are limited and clunky, with only single use links that are not mobile-friendly and sometimes break. PDF2Go notices include the underlying documents in the email itself, properly formatted and ready to use.
