PacerPro does not impose any requirements for the client code format its users may enter when accessing functions that require access to PACER, such as downloading documents, running searches, and setting up case updates. However, your firm may have established client code requirements with PACER itself. If you have entered a client code that does not comply with those requirements, PacerPro cannot perform the requested operation.
If you received an error message on PacerPro indicating that an invalid client code has been entered and you do not know the correct format, please consult with your firm’s PacerPro administrator.
If you are an administrator, you can log onto https://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov/pscof/manage/setPrefs.jsf with the PACER credentials you use with PacerPro and review your firm’s client code formatting requirements under “Manage My Account -> Set PACER Billing Preferences.”
